ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 Just Released in "Illuminate Yellow/Black"
The classic runner gets fashioned with neon and neutral accents.
There are plenty of traditional running silhouettes under the ASICS umbrella, but one of the more popular ones that has been gaining some stronger momentum is the ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14. The silhouette was recently spotted in collaborative form alongside AWAKE NY‘s Angelo Baque, and now it’s diverting to its inline category with the unveiling of its “Illuminate Yellow/Black” colorway.
This latest iteration creates a marriage between neutral and neon accents. Its “Illuminate Yellow” is the key element as it fills in the underlying mesh materials, and this is joined by metallic silver overlays that spread across the entire upper half. Smaller notes of contrasting black take shape on the interior lining, heel “GEL-KAYANO 14” text, tiger stripes and the various abstract patterns across the back and forefoot. Down below, the midsoles are materialized with a white rubber fabric and feature exposed GEL foam that is also drenched in the shoe’s primary titular shade. Outsoles follow suit with more grayscale aesthetics as they color-block between black and silver panels.
