adidas Adds Iridescent Three Stripes to the 4DFWD "Core Black"
While the “Cloud White” colorway gets a reflective Primeknit+ upper.

adidas has a knack for debuting a silhouette and, before you know it, releasing numerous colorways to infiltrate the market, but while this often ends up with shoes on the sale rack we don’t think the same can be said for the Three Stripes’ latest 4DFWD offerings. Welcome to the 4DFWD in “Core Black/Cloud White/Carbon” and “Cloud White/Core Black/Crystal White,” two low-key iterations that are secretly much more than they first seem.
Kicking off with the “Core Black” colorway, we find the sneaker’s signature Primeknit+ upper decorated in all black sitting atop a blacked-out 4D midsole that’s combined with FWD Cell technology, coming together to offer “a smooth transition and a unique gliding experience” while also compressing forward impact to “transform vertical pressure into horizontal forward motion.” With this in mind, the 4DFWD is one of adidas’ latest and greatest running shoes, and now it’s updated in a street-ready colorway for all.
In addition to the black colorway are Three Stripes finished in 3M-equipped, light-receptive iridescence, adding a chromatic, multicolored flash to the shoes. The eyestay placket also lights up in a standard 3M fashion. As for the “Cloud White/Core Black/Crystal White” version, we find a similar tonal upper but in white that’s decorated with standard black Three Stripes, but under a shining light, the upper will glow in a soft silver hue alongside the 3M eyestay placket.
Both of adidas’ new 4DFWD colorways can be seen above and picked up from adidas’ regional Australian website for $360 AUD (approx. $260 USD). Both will drop on September 2.
