Reebok X Jurassic Park Is Nostalgia Overload
A collaboration 65 million years in the making.
Reebok is entering the Lost World with an extensive collection with Universal’s iconic 1993 film, Jurassic Park.
The collaboration is the first between the two titles and features a full-family offering of footwear and apparel. Each sneaker pays homage to a key character or prop from the original film, and are carefully constructed with intricate details — from the outsoles to the sockliners.
All of the footwear offerings are likely to resonate with die-hard fans, but sneaker enthusiasts will be drawn to the centerpiece of the capsule — an Instapump Fury OG, inspired by the Jurassic Park guest vehicles. The silhouette features leather lining, which mimics the SUV seats and battle damage graphics on the sole and sides. It is topped off with the characteristic Jurassic Park logo on the iconic pump ball.
To commemorate the drop, Reebok has worked alongside Universal on a parody news report that gives a detailed look at the collection. InGen, the fictional bioengineering corporation responsible for recreating the dinosaurs, is mentioned in the broadcast, carefully fusing dinosaur and sneaker in a collaboration that is 65 million years in the making.
The Reebok x Jurassic Park collection is available here for purchase.
