First Look at the Off-White™ x Nike Blazer Low
A low-cut style that’s certainly not lacking embellishment.
Off-White™ and Nike‘s collaborative history with the Blazer reaches all the way back to “The Ten” in 2017, but until now the two have never taken on the Blazer Low. Revealed by notable Instagram sneaker leaker wavegod_thelegend, the Off-White™ x Nike Blazer Low may be shorter in cut than its high-top counterparts, but it’s bolder in style and ornamentation, pulling a cornucopia of design motifs from past Off-White™ x Nike collaborations.
Constructed of supple black leather with black suede mudguards and toe caps, the shoe’s upper features translucent TPE circles on the toebox, forefoot, midfoot and heel a la the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5. These ovals can either be left intact or cut out with a razor blade, enabling the wearer to “customize” their shoes as they see fit. There’s also a cordlike green lace snaking across the upper in a manner reminiscent of the Off-White™ x Nike Dunk Low, plus a signature black zip tie and Helvetica text branding on the shoelaces. More Helvetica likely appears on the medial midfoot as well, but this cannot be confirmed as only a single image of the shoe is currently available. Exposed foam tongues with co-branded tags round off the top half.
Down below, midsoles start simple on the forefoot — then go wild on the heel. Plain black rubber gives way to a bulky two-piece cushioning system, with an oblong green shape towards the pointed rear and a series of small circular details that are reminiscent of Nike ACG‘s Terra Humara. This piece is bordered by a small hit of blue and gold speckled detailing for a final hit of flair.
At the time of writing, a date of arrival for the Off-White™ x Nike Blazer Low has yet to be revealed. However, it’ll likely release towards the end of 2021.
