NYFW Returns With Live Shows and a Packed Calendar
Featuring the first full range of in person shows since 2019.
Since the pandemic began, in-person events — especially in the fashion industry — have been limited. But this year, New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is set to make a grand return.
Today, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and IMG released the official NYFW schedule for September, and it’s packed with in-person events. The shows begin Wednesday, September 8, and feature a wide array of young designers and fashion powerhouses including Peter Do, LaQuan Smith, Moschino, Telfar, Theophilio, Thom Browne and more. NYFW concludes on Sunday, September 12 with the final show from Chairman of the CDFA, Tom Ford.
“New York Fashion Week is back with a diverse lineup representative of the future of American fashion,” said Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA, in a release. “Our fashion industry has come together as we continue to emerge from the pandemic, and a collaborative spirit is paramount to the success of our creative talents.”
While details about COVID protocols and restrictions have not yet been released, needless to say it’s going to be an eventful return for one of fashion’s biggest moments of the year.
