DRIVERS is a series highlighting influential individuals in the HYPEBEAST sphere and their passion towards all things automotive. The approach is simple: what is car culture to you, and why do you have a passion for it? Each contributor is given a chance to shine light on their personal vehicle or vehicles, and asked to remark on how they are driving culture forward, both metaphorically and literally.

Actor and comedian Kevin Hart is a busy guy to say the least; when he’s not on tour for stand up, acting in both comedies and dramas, or receiving real life llamas for his birthday, he somehow still has time to host a brand new, car-centric show on the Motortrend app. Kevin Hart’s Muscle Car Crew is just that – a series that focuses on Hart’s passion for all things classic American, while he and his friends discover the culture and fascination behind cars and car ownership.

But don’t think he’s just a generic host who has no business near a gas station let alone a classic Corvette – Kevin Hart knows his stuff. While we’ve previously featured his 1970 Dodge Charger “Hellraiser” by SpeedKore, Hart now promotes his new show with a stunning new whip: a pristine, restomodded 1965 Ford Mustang produced by Revology.

Thankfully, Hart’s decision to do a classic Ford Mustang did not compromise any of its original look and charm. His example is classically restored to showroom condition, with a few modern touches and refinements that make it as reliable and daily as it can be. Hart tells us that the engine has been swapped out for a modern-day Coyote crate engine, along with simple mods like push-button Start, a fresh black paint job, reliability services for the chassis and more.

Along with the car build, Kevin Hart also explains what cars mean to him, how he wants to contribute to car culture and more.

Check out our special video episode of DRIVERS above and in case you missed it, we most recently interviewed Youtuber Harrison Nevel and his 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
