Juvenile Revives "Back That Azz Up" for BLK Dating App's "Vax That Thang Up"
“NO VAXING, NO VUCKING.”
Juvenile is reviving an old club banger for a good cause. Remixing the 1998 hit “Back That Azz Up,” Juvenile is joined once more by Mannie Fresh while Mia X replaces Lil Wayne.
Created as a public service announcement for Black singles dating app BLK, the nostalgic remix was made to encourage those in the Black community to go out there and get the COVID-19 vaccination for the safety of those trying to resume normal dating again. Mannie Fresh spits, “I love it when you hold me / eggplant emoji / you can be the young hot thing / I’ll be the OG.” While Juvenile reminds us that before you “go on a date yeah / you gotta wait yeah / gotta go vaccinate yeah / get it straight yeah.” There’s even someone wear a “NO VAXING, NO VUCKING.” T-shirt.
This music video is also the first time fans have seen the joining of artists from Cash Money Records and No Limit Records on a track. Watch the whimsical music video remix to Juvenile’s throwback hit above.
