Wrist Check: Jeff Bezos Took a Custom OMEGA Speedmaster to Space
Featuring custom straps and Blue Origin engraving.

Yesterday’s successful Blue Origin NS-16 mission focused all eyes on Jeff Bezos and his eclectic team of suborbital space travelers.
While Bezos didn’t quite hit the heights of past NASA astronauts, he was spotted wearing a very appropriate wristwatch — the space-ready OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch. This particular Speedy ref. 310.30.42.50.01.001 was given to the crew by OMEGA where it had a number of custom features added to it like a custom strap (referencing the velcro version worn over the large cuffs of NASA spacesuits), and an engraved caseback with the crew member’s name, flight number, and Blue Origin feather insignia.
The watch itself, without any of the custom work, retails for $6,300 USD, and is a staple watch for any collector. While this watch didn’t make it to the moon, it is still pretty cool to see the Blue Orgin crew rock a watch that has such a history in space exploration.
