OMEGA Brings the Speedmaster 38mm Line Closer to Classic Moonwatch DNA

OMEGA has expanded its Speedmaster 38 mm collection with seven new references, refining the design to align more closely with the legendary Moonwatch. Designed to sharpen the lineup’s sporty, iconic look, the update replaces previous oval registers with classic rounded subdials, reduces dial text for a cleaner presentation and reinstates a thicker bezel style complete with the signature “Dot Over Ninety” (DON) tachymeter scale. Every piece is presented on a vintage-inspired, five-link Moonwatch-style bracelet featuring OMEGA’s patented comfort release adjustment system.

The updated collection spans a range of materials and dial configurations, split across all-steel models, two-tone variations, and diamond-set bezels. Among the steel highlights are a pure Moonwatch-inspired black-dial reference, a white-dial version framed by a blue ceramic bezel with white enamel markings, and a warm silver-dial option with a grey aluminum bezel. Bicolour variants blend stainless steel with 18K Moonshine™ Gold or 18K Sedna™ Gold – including a fresh take on the collection’s signature “cappuccino” brown-subdial aesthetic – while two glamorous editions pair ice blue or white mother-of-pearl dials with a bezel set with 52 diamonds totaling 1.53 carats.

Under the hood, the new references rely on two automatic Co-Axial movements. The six date-equipped models are driven by the Calibre 3330, while the no-date black-dial flagship houses the Calibre 3332. Both movements offer a 52-hour power reserve and sit within a 38mm case rated to 100 meters of water resistance. Capped off with a screw-in caseback stamped with the iconic Speedmaster Seahorse medallion, the newly expanded range delivers a balanced mix of heritage Moonwatch DNA and versatile contemporary sizing.
