Ubisoft released more information on its upcoming sci-fi title called Rainbow Six Extraction on Saturday at this year’s E3 gaming convention.

The new game, previously known as Rainbow Six Quarantinemade its gameplay debut at Ubisoft Forward ahead of its official September 16 release. According to its description, the game is a PvE co-op experience where players can form a squad with up to two other people alongside characters Ash, Mira, and Thermite to form the Rainbow Exogenous Analysis and Containment Team (REACT).

Building on the tactical gameplay elements introduced in Rainbow Six Siege, players can choose from a roster of 18 Rainbow Six Operators in order to confront a “growing alien threat known as Archæans.” Each Operator has their own set of gadgets, weapons and abilities that can help in creating a strategy for moving across Extraction’s 12 maps.

The maps are set across four regions in the U.S., each with different challenges, enemies and increasing difficulty as players move further into the map. Once a mission is complete, the game asks players to make the tough decision of either extracting their squad and gaining the net the rewards earned or venturing deeper into containment for even greater rewards.

The game will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Stadia, Epic Games and Ubisoft Connect. Preorder is available through the Ubisoft website. Those who own Rainbow Six Siege and purchase Rainbow Six Extraction will gain the entire roster of 18 Operators in Rainbow Six Siege along with a United Front cosmetic bundle for both games.

Ubisoft also teased the upcoming game Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope at E3– its latest collaboration with Nintendo available for the Switch.
