Best Look Yet at the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 "Cactus Jack"
One of five colorways set to release this holiday season.
Travis Scott‘s Nike and Jordan Brand collaborations are a never-ending carousel of hype, and though Scott’s latest Swoosh collaboration — a five-pack of Air Max 1s — isn’t set to release until holiday 2021, it’s already garnering a tremendous deal of interest. Now, we’ve been given our first thorough look at one of Scott’s five Air Max 1 styles, and upon initial inspection it’s safe to say that the Cactus Jack x Nike design language is strong as ever.
Scott’s Air Max 1 is centered around a signature super-sized backwards Swoosh on the midfoot, a key Cactus Jack motif that here is done up in a tan snakeskin-like material. Brown and wheat suede overlays sit atop a rugged mesh base, and the expanses between them are spanned by tri-colored nylon midfoot and heel straps. Collars appear to be slimmed down, while red laces and a red pennant-style Cactus Jack badge on the heel add flair. Down below, the look is finalized by way of a two-tone tan and brown midsole with an opaque tan Air Max cushioning unit that sits above brown outsoles.
An official release date and pricing details have yet to be confirmed, but look for the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 in “Baroque Brown/Lemon Drop,” “Off Noir/Cave Stone,” “Saturn Gold/Tea Tree Mist,” “Grey Haze/Light Silver” and “Wheat/Lemon Drop” to arrive sometime this holiday season.
Elsewhere in the world of the Swoosh, Kobe Bryant’s wife Gianna Bryant has expressed her displeasure with Nike over leaks of the Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita.”
