Following its collaboration with Supreme, storied Japanese label HYSTERIC GLAMOUR has now returned to celebrate the iconic works of Osamu Tezuka. Regarded as the “God of Manga,” Tezuka’s extensive body of works is celebrated for helping shape the psychology of Japan’s postwar youth and holding tremendous influence on the outlook of contemporary animation and manga.

The latest collaboration Tezuka Productions falls serves as the latest in HYSTERIC GLAMOUR’s continued exploration of art within pop culture and subculture through its outlook of fashion. Designer Nobuhiko Kitamura drew from his love of Osamu Tezuka as a child to create a range of short sleeve Shirts and T-shirts emblazoned with scenes taken from titles like Shammy 1000, Ayako, Futureman Kaos and The Book of Human Insects. The selective display serves to highlight some more obscure works from Tezuka for a contemporary audience.

Check out the range above and look for the Osamu Tezuka x HYSTERIC GLAMOUR collection to be released June 12, 11 a.m. JST (June 11, 10 p.m. EDT) online, HYSTERIC GLAMOUR locations and at ZOZOTOWN.

For more contemporary fashion, YEEZY Gap recently announced its first release.
