Hamilton Steps Up Screen Presence With Starring Role in Far Cry 6
The Swiss brand has hundreds of movie credits to its name, now it’s moved into video games.

When the latest instalment of Ubisoft’s hugely popular Far Cry franchise drops in October, its protagonist will be wearing a unique Hamilton watch.
Dani Rojas, who is either male or female depending on the player’s initial choice, receives the Khaki Field Titanium Automatic as a gift for completing the first mission.
The watch, which has been created specifically for Far Cry 6, is then used by Rojas throughout the game in the fight to topple El Presidente Antón Castillo, the ruthless dictator of Yara, a fictional Caribbean island, who is played by everyone’s favorite villain, Giancarlo Esposito.
Hamilton will then follow up in the real world by releasing a physical version of the watch for sale at a later date.
Hamilton has appeared in some 500 movies since the 1930s right up to Christopher Nolan’s Tenet last year, but the Khaki Field Titanium Automatic represents the first time the brand has collaborated on a video game and the first time a branded watch has appeared in the series.
“Integrating the Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium Automatic as special in-game gear not only looks fantastic, but also provides you gameplay benefits with a Far Cry twist.” Says Omar Bouali, game content director, Ubisoft Toronto.
Elsewhere in watches, Issey Miyake celebrates 20 years of watches.
