FRESH RAGS and Saucony Present Its Grid Web “Manatee” Collaboration
Designed with algae-inspired suede overlays and iridescent river logos.
FRESH RAGS — a boutique that is home to Pinellas Park, Florida — has partnered up with Saucony Originals to collaborate on a Grid Web “Manatee” colorway. This latest link-up is inclusive of kicks and matching apparel and is crafted to honor the existence of Floridian manatees and celebrate the beauty of the natural springs that are found in the neighborhood.
Let’s plunge into its aquatic details. The base layers of this makeup are treated with suede overlays across the forefoot, collars and heels, and come dripped in olive green and bumpy textures to represent algae. Mesh materials up top are symbolic of the rich skin of the ocean mammal, and come placed next to an iridescent river logo. Heels are decorated with green stitchings that bleed onto the sole units to mimic spring water grass, and the web-like molds are adorned with bright blues to channel a water-esque aesthetic.
To go along with the sneakers, FRESH RAGS has also readied a full apparel collection of graphic tees, nylon water shorts and accessories. Moreover, the retailer has teamed with the Save The Manatee™ Club to raise funds for the protection of the manatees as they’ve faced intense starvation in 2021 due to the lack of seagrass habitats in the region.
Mark your calendars as the FRESH RAGS x Saucony Grid Web “Manatee” and Fresh Springs collection is slated to drop on Saturday, June 26.
