Saucony and Westside Gunn are officially joining forces once again to deliver the Westside Gunn x Saucony Grid Jazz 9 “Awesome Gods.” First spotted during Paris Fashion Week, the Buffalo rapper and Griselda founder recently shared another preview of the upcoming footwear model while traveling overseas for his “Heel the World” tour.
Moving away from the more aggressive aesthetic of his past ProGrid Triumph 4 projects, the upcoming Grid Jazz 9 adopts a traditional runner shape. The sneaker is anchored by a rich wine-colored base that extends across the upper, midsole, and outsole. For added texture, the shoe incorporates premium faux reptile-style overlays across the upper panels.
In place of Saucony’s standard side branding, the collaborative model features large scorpion patches, offering a direct visual link to the Griselda universe. Giving the dark base a sharp contrast, the upper is further detailed with vibrant pink, blue, and earth-toned accents.
While official rollout details have not been shared by Saucony, the Westside Gunn x Saucony Grid Jazz 9 “Awesome Gods” is confirmed to release following the conclusion of the artist’s ongoing tour.
