DL Headwear Repurposes Vintage Nike Windbreakers Into Hats and Wallets
Each piece is sewn with multiple Swoosh jackets from the 80s and 90s.
In 2018, DL Headwear teamed up with atmos to release an exclusive collection 5-panel caps that were made from vintage Nike jackets. Fast forward three years later, the two companies are teaming up yet again for a more extensive, capsule and this time it entails retro Swoosh windbreakers that are transformed into 6-panel caps, bucket hats and wallets.
Dubbed the “Finest Nike Collection” by the Tokyo-based headwear imprint, the assortment of products are all formed with a full nylon build and come sewn together with multiple jackets — which in turn allows each piece to stand on its own due to its various prints and colors. Given that the pieces are from the 80s and 90s era, the louder Nike Sportswear accents of blue, pink, orange, volt, white green and more are merged onto each item. The bucket hats and 6-panels are all dressed with a DL Headgear label, the former of which attaches to the front while the latter is skewed to the left temple. The cruising wallets in the collection are styled with the same playful appeal in terms of its multi-colored vibes, but deviate with black DL Headgear branding.
The entire collection is available through atmos right now with prices ranging from ¥7,480 to ¥16,500 (approx. $68 to $149 USD).
