DDG Puts a Spin on 'iCarly' Theme Song in New Freestyle
Just in time for the premiere of the ‘iCarly’ reboot on June 17.
YouTuber and rapper DDG shared his own take on Miranda Cosgrove’s iCarly theme song in a new freestyle.
Produced by Tre on the Beat, the two-minute track opens with the intro of the “Leave It All To Me” theme song and a portion of Cosgrove’s first verse. The drums kick in and DDG begins to rap over the sample that hears the original song’s bells and electric guitar riff, before closing it out with Cosgrove’s verse again.
The freestyle arrives shortly after Paramount+ released the official trailer of the iCarly reboot, which will see the return of Cosgrove as Carly Shay, Jerry Trainor as Spencer Shay and Nathan Kress and Freddie Benson; Jennette McCurdy will not reprise her role as Sam Puckett. The forthcoming reboot is set in the present as the trio traverses a new landscape to bring back the show that was once an internet phenomenon.

Elsewhere in music, Drake confirmed that he will drop Certified Lover Boy before summer ends.
