Bow Wow Announces He Is Done With His Rap Career Because It "Brings Stress"
The announcement comes after his ‘VERZUZ’ rap battle with Soulja Boy.
Bow Wow has taken to Instagram to share with fans that he has had enough with rapping. The message comes just days after his rap battle debut with Soulja Boy on VERZUZ.
In the video, the rapper can be heard saying, “Y’all n****s see why I don’t be wanting to rap no motherf*cking more? This is exactly why I’m at peace. I’m at peace man. I like hosting my shit, making more money than half of y’all rap n****s. I like doing my podcast. This shit right here is the number one reason why a n***a don’t wanna rap no more. This is the reason why. I do movies and I do so much other shit. It’s because rap sh*t brings stress.”
Prior to the VERZUZ battle, Bow Wow’s hard drive crashed six minutes before the show. His caption to the Instagram posts explains, “I was soooo stressed putting this show together in 4 days for VERZUZ!! What y’all don’t know is our hard drive CRASHED 6 mins before we went live!! SEE.”
Though there appeared to be technical difficulties Bow Wow still delivered a seamlessly executed show. Fans were seen divided as to who won the rap battle between Soulja Boy and Bow Wow, but nonetheless, both rappers put on a memorable show tapping surprise guests like Omarion, French Montana DJ Paul and many more to bring the show to life.
This is not the first time Bow Wow has threatened to exit the music industry. Back in February, he teased that he is done music after his next album, wanting to focus on his acting and potentially joining the WWE.
