Patta and Kappa Pay Homage to AC Milan’s Triumphant '88-'89 Campaign
A season that saw ‘I Rossoneri’ become European champions.

Patta is a label which regularly shows its ongoing passion for European football. In the past year alone the Amsterdam-imprint has paid homage to the likes of Inter Milan and Napoli with unique twists on classic jerseys, enlisting club legends for lookbooks in the process too.
Now, for its latest link up, Patta teams up with Kappa to reference AC Milan’s infamous 1988-89 away strip, in which the side won its third European title with a team boasting the likes of dutch legends Ruud Gullit, Frank Rijkaard and the legendary Marco van Basten.
With Kappa starting out as a sock brand, it made sense for Patta to design a kit that goes from the tips of the toes up to the neck. Boasting a football jersey, shorts and a pair of socks, the collection carries Team Patta branding across the chest, layered over a horizontal banner over a white silhouette.
Keeping in line with the visual goals of both brands, the shorts feature a familiar Patta Football crest above the knee with the other knee hosting the iconic Kappa logo. Holding the collection together with Kappa’s organs is a pair of socks which harken back to the jersey with a horizontal banner and the logos of both brands above the ankle.
Showcased by AC Milan legends Filippo Galli and Paolo Virdi, the Patta x Kappa football capsule is set to drop on May 26 13:00 (CET) and will be available via the Patta webstore.
