Nike Splits Swooshes on Its Five-Shoe "Aquamarine" Pack

Once a sacred mark that was rarely altered, Nike‘s signature Swoosh has been flipped upside-down, doubled up, elongated and customized in a myriad of other ways in recent years. Though it’s usually collaborators doing this tweaking — Travis Scott, sacai and AMBUSH provided the alterations listed above — Nike Sportswear is doing some in-line Swoosh tinkering of its own with a new five-shoe “Aquamarine” pack.

Made up of the classic Air Max 90, Air Force 1 Low, Blazer Low and Air Presto plus the modern Air Max 2090, the “Aquamarine” pack is split into two main pieces. The first of these consists of the AM 90, the low-cut Air Force 1 and the chopped-down Blazer, all of which boast a white and gray construction that’s embellished with “Aquamarine” and “Lime Glow” accents and are centered around a split blue leather Swoosh. The second set is made up of the Air Presto and the AM 2090, which are covered in a white and gray digital pattern and opt for printed split Swooshes. All five pairs are brought back together by a special elongated tongue tag that reads “20/21” and repurposes each shoe’s signature check mark.

All five pairs are available on the Nike GB webstore now, with prices ranging from $80-$130 USD. A US release is likely to follow in the coming weeks.
