An Official Look at Skepta's Nike SK Phantom Football Boot and Air Max Tailwind V "Bloody Chrome"
Modeled by Dave.

After he teased a first look earlier this week, Skepta has now officially revealed the latest installment of his ongoing Nike collaboration. Arriving just in time for the delayed European Championships, the SK Phantom sees Skepta move into football.
In releasing the boot, Skepta becomes the first music artist to partner with Nike on a performance football boot. The design itself features a red butterfly print across the upper — mirroring Skepta’s recent Nike Air Max Tailwind V “Chrome Blue” release inspired by his create metamorphosis — as well as chrome Swooshes and soleplate inspired by his silver jewelry. An iridescent material is added to the heel, in reference to the cover art of Skepta’s “Ignorance is Bliss” album.
Speaking about his move into football, Skepta explained, “I love the pressure when you call for the ball. When they pass it to you, you become the sole director of the next move for the team. You’ve got a split second to decide, ‘is it good for me to keep this and show what I’m about or is it good to pass it and show that I’m thinking about all the players on the pitch?’ I love the culture around football as much as the game; I’m really into the culture of football jerseys for what they represent. They represent ‘team.’ Going to matches is sick too. When you go to a match, you experience live people, live audio, all the things that the TV might miss… you really feel it more than see it or hear it when you’re there.”
To coincide with the arrival of the SK Phantom football boot, Skepta is also releasing an all-new Air Max Tailwind V colorway. Dubbed “Bloody Chrome,” the colorway shares the design touches seen across the football boot.
Take a look at the two new Skepta x Nike silhouettes in the gallery above, modelled by Dave in the official campaign. Both the football boot and the sneaker will arrive on June 12.
