Sony Reveals First 14 Minutes of 'Horizon Forbidden West' Gameplay
Aloy takes on a whole new environment.
During Sony‘s latest State of Play, the gaming giant and Guerilla Games showcased the first 14 minutes of gameplay from the highly-anticipated PlayStation 5 title Horizon Forbidden West.
Set after the events of Horizon Zero Dawn, the new game takes place in a whole new frontier: the Pacific Coast. Ashly Burch reprises her role as Aloy, who travels through this new world on a mission to find the source of a plague that’s quickly spreading across the nation. The trailer itself offers fans a closer look at Aloy’s new look, the immersive environment she now finds herself in, the new underwater mechanics, as well as new enemies you’ll encounter and various combat sequences. The developer also highlights that Horizon Forbidden West places greater emphasis on tactics and various weapon choices during combat, so gamers will have greater flexibility when it comes to their playing style.
Unfortunately for fans of the franchise, there’s yet to be an official release date for Horizon Forbidden West, so stay tuned for more updates to come.
