Detailed Look at the Air Jordan 4 "Lightning"
One of 2021’s most electrifying Air Jordan releases.

Jordan Brand‘s Air Jordan 4 “Lightning” debuted in 2006, and rumors of its return seemed to surface each and every year over the course of the 2010s. However, the “Lightning” is really and truly set to come back in 2021 to celebrate its 15th anniversary, and ahead of its reported late summer arrival we’ve been given a detailed look thanks to noted sneaker leaker Hanzuying.
As can be seen in both the full images and detailed shots below, Jordan Brand paid painstaking attention to detail when re-crafting the “Lightning.” Its uppers are made of the rich yellow nubuck that it gets its name from, and this vivid tone is accented by cool touches of gray on the Air Jordan 4‘s signature midfoot wings plus the large tongue badge, collar lining, midsole bumpers and outsole.
Jet black is introduced into the mix as well via the midfoot and throat’s plastic netting, the top and bottom eyestays and the heel’s Jumpman badge. A final dash of yellow graces the upside-down Air Jordan tag on the inside of the tongue, and the look is finalized by white EVA foam midsoles with silver Air units.
Early reports have the Air Jordan 4 “Lightning” set to return to market on August 28, though this has yet to be officially confirmed by Nike. The MSRP will be set at $220 USD, and early pairs are available via GOAT now.
