Jordan Brand to Retro the Air Jordan 4 "Lightning"
Returning for the first time since 2006.
Rumors have been floating around for years about a retro launch of the Air Jordan 4 “Lightning”, but those can now be put to rest as the highly-esteemed colorway has now re-surfaced by way of official imagery, essentially confirming its highly anticipated return. This vivid makeup originally hit the market back in 2006 and was only distributed via an online release that came packaged with a tee.
Nearly 15 years later, the popular Jordan Brand makeup is gearing up to return in its original form. When it comes to its vibrantly-styled upper, most of the ground here is reliant on its “Tour Yellow” hue to swathe its nubuck base layer. Grayscale accents of black and “Dark Blue Grey” then come in and play supportive roles, the former of which touches down on the glossy eye stays, and the mid-foot and toe box netting, while the latter drops off on the “wings”, tongue tabs and the Jumpman logos that are parked out back. Downstairs, the midsoles are outfitted with the all-white aesthetic while the treading calls upon more “Dark Blue Grey” accents to decorate its chevron-patterned sections. Additionally, the shoes will come packaged in a brand new box that features a yellow lid atop a grey/black speckled base.
Early reports have the Air Jordan 4 “Lightning” launching on August 7 in full family sizes, but Nike SNKRS still has yet to confirm this. The men’s pair will retail for $225 USD.
In case you missed it, detailed images of the Air Jordan 1 High “Court Purple” have surfaced.
