Nike Air Force 1 EMB Receives a Grayscale Makeover
Canvas Swooshes and snapback hat-inspired tongue tags are slapped onto the classic lifestyle silhouette.
Due to the fact that the Air Force 1 is such a minimal canvas by nature, it gives the Nike design teams ample room to toy around with different colors, themes, materials and more. To build upon its momentum this season, the Swoosh’s Sportswear team is now bringing light to its Nike Air Force 1 EMB model and presenting its latest grayscale-themed makeup.
Like the standard AF1s that sneakerheads have come to know and love, the base layer is predominantly constructed with smooth leather materials. Quarters and perforated toe boxes are flooded with white paint while its accompanying overlays are dripped in pitch black. Embossed Nike branding is planted onto the lateral heel areas and color-blocks between black lettering and white outlines. Canvas twill materials are also brought to the table by way of the Swooshes and the heel overlays, the latter of which hosts a mid-sized Nike check instead of the customary Nike Air branding. Moreover, the tongues have been remixed with snapback-inspired tags. Moving south, the midsoles are mostly hued in white, but come prepared with gray Air lettering to match up with the treading that is stacked underneath.
If interested in copping, these are scheduled to launch via retailers like 43einhalb come April 29 for €110 (approx. $132 USD).
Elsewhere in the world of footwear, detailed photos of the Air Jordan 1 High “Court Purple” have emerged.
