UMAMIISM Oyster, UMAMIISM’s premium line, has just debuted its Fall/Winter 2021 at Shanghai Fashion Week. Titled “QUIET FRIEND,” the collection uses fabrics, layering, and strategic cuts for a visual experience through clothing, depicting a poetic fever dream.

Inspired by fantasy novels of Bigfoot and other cryptids tales of the ’90s, the collection takes bits of elements from each — like the romance, adventure, and the outdoors — and reinterprets them into clothing ready for the Fall/Winter season. Neutral and earthy tones make up the majority of the color palette as details like faux fur patches, frayed laces, folded panels and asymmetrical cuts, give off a raw aesthetic that references the Paleolithic era of clothing.

Check out the full runway shots above for a full look at UMAMIISM Oyster’s layer-friendly Fall/Winter 2021 collection.
