Tesla's Solar Panels and Powerwall Batteries Will be Bundled Together

Elon Musk has decided Tesla‘s solar panels and Powerwall batteries will only be sold as a bundle. You won’t be able to buy them separately.
Musk revealed the news the same way he has been making many of his announcements — Twitter. “Starting next week, Tesla Solar Panels & Solar Roof will only be sold as an integrated product *with* Tesla Powerwall battery,” says the tweet. While this may raise concerns for those on tighter budgets, Musk also announced that “Tesla [would] unlock higher capabilities for free via software update next month.” Furthermore, new installations will get solar power to feed directly to the battery.

In case you missed it, Elon Musk has confirmed Starlink Internet Services is expected to be “Fully Mobile” by the end of 2021.
