HUF's Unmistakable "Plantlife" Pattern Graces 420-Friendly Modernica Furniture
A handmade chair and table enlivened with some very green accents.
Accompanying its thematic clothing and accessories collection, HUF has prepped another special set of goods for 420. This time, the streetwear label is rejoining Modernica for more collaborative furniture, enlivened with some especially organic accents.
This isn’t the first time HUF and Modernica have teamed up; in 2014, the brand dropped a green Shell Chair and some other fiberglass bits, though this joint effort (no pun intended) takes things a step further than an exclusive color. HUF’s “Plantlife” pattern is perhaps its most enduring, showcasing unmistakable cannabis leaf silhouettes in a row — most commonly atop a pair of socks.
Now, Plantlife is taking over a set of handcrafted Modernica furniture, with the Californian company’s Shell Dowel Chair and Base Table sporting a reinterpreted take on the pattern. Each piece is unique, as the leaves are individually rendered atop each chair and table by Modernica’s in-house craftspeople, boasting the company’s signature high-pressure molded fiberclass for a sturdy finish. The wooden legs are left raw to both reinforce the granola-y aesthetic and complement the natural paintjob that graces the chair’s seat and table’s top.
The limited edition Modernica pieces launch via Huf’s website on — when else? — April 20.
