Tony Hawk Addresses Drake's "Bootleg" Vintage Birdhouse Skateboards Hoodie
By reissuing it as the “Degrassi” hoodie.

More info regarding Drake‘s Birdhouse Skateboards hoodie has surfaced, and it looks like the one that Drake bought for $350 USD turns out to be legit. The Alpine-Green hoodie originally caught the attention of the skate and fashion world when Birdhouse Skateboards founder and skate legend Tony Hawk (he founded the team/brand with Per Welinder in 1992) called the hoodie out for being a fake.
The seller, paul_doesnt_exist, confirmed the hoodie to be an official release with a number of vintage ’90s catalogs showing that the graphic is in fact legit. The seller concluded that it could have come off as a bootleg as he replaced the missing drawstring with his own. The best thing to come out of all this is that Tony Hawk used some of his entrepreneurial expertise and reissued the hoodie under the name of the “Degrassi” hoodie — a reference to Drake’s role as Jimmy Brooks on the Degrassi show.
Those interested in getting this hoodie that’s straight from the ’90s can find it over at the Birdhouse Skateboards web store for $70 USD.
