Dotemu Announces Retro 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredders Revenge' Video Game
Get ready for some radical ’90s side-scrolling, beat-’em-up action!
Fans of the classic side-scrolling beat-’em-up style of arcade games are in for a treat. This news is even more important if you enjoyed playing classic TMNT Konami games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project. Dotemu, makers of such titles as Streets of Rage 4 and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, have just announced a new game titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge.
This game promises to warp (no Konami Code required) gamers back to the ’90s for a faithful recreation of the original style of game. In a recently-released teaser trailer, Mike Patton sings the theme song as clips of the game and all its pixelated glory are shown. The game description reads: “With Bebop and Rocksteady assaulting Channel 6 and stealing super gnarly devices to support Krang and Shredder’s latest twisted plan, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge sees the Turtles battling across a righteous range of timeless TMNT locations. From Manhattan and Coney Island, to city rooftops and dank sewers, help the fearsome foursome trounce Foot Soldiers, Triceraton Warriors, and Rock Troops all the way to Dimension X!”
There’s currently no official release date but we do know that it will be made available for PC and major consoles.
