STRONGTHE Says "You Tell Me" With its 2021 Collection 1
Knots create confined forms that support the wearer.
Back for 2021, STRONGTHE, helmed by designer Strong Theveethivarak, has returned with his evocative approach to fashion. Titled “You Tell Me,” the seasonal range builds on his outlook of the physical impairment-inspired design sensibility he developed during his MA studies at Central Saint Martins.
Once again investigating the base forms of menswear, extensive knotting has been applied to create confined forms that support the silhouette of the wearer. Challenging looks include the Sbai Coat, Star Knotted Tailor Jacket and Jog Trousers, Spiky Jacket, Fangs Trousers, Crossed Knit and Red Talisman Cardigan. Materials found in the collection range far and wide, showcasing Theveethivarak’s diverse understanding of construction and design. Finishing up the range are carrying options that continue the knotted approach, most notably the messenger style Talisman Bag.
