'Neon Genesis Evangelion' Launches Rei Ayanami Train Line
Taking over Nagoya’s Aonami Line.
For its latest promotional activation for Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, Khara has teamed up with Nagoya Rinkai Rapid Transit to launch a Rei Ayanami-themed train.
Rightfully taking over Nagoya’s Aonami Line, train cars running between the Nagoya and Kinjo-futo stations are marked with tones of Ayanami blue and graphics of Rei and Eva Unit-00. Tickets issued for the line will also feature similar imagery and come with an accompanying poster. Riders can also check-in at stops on the “Ayanami Line” to digitally experience “Eva Spots.”
Set to run until May 31, Khara and Nagoya Rinkai Rapid Transit will also be holding a special pop-up until March 28 at the Maker’s Pier shopping center near Kinjoufutou Station with limited-edition Rei merch.
