'Don’t Peek' Is a Horror Short Film Centered Around 'Animal Crossing'
Featuring no dialogue with just sounds from the game.
At SXSW Online this month, director Julian Terry shared his inventive horror short film, Don’t Peek.
Centered around Animal Crossing, the feature chronicles a young woman dealing with a ghost that is desperately trying to escape from her Nintendo Switch. Starring actress Katie C’etta, the entirety of the film features no dialogue with every sound in the six-minute film coming from Animal Crossing. C’etta’s character’s interactions with the specter generate building fear that ultimately ends in a suspenseful ending. According to reports, Don’t Peek is now set to be adapted into a full-length film to be produced by Majd Nassif under production house Bazelevs.
