Netflix Announces a New Short-Form Feature, Fast Laughs
The TikTok-esque iOS feature will allow users to scroll through and share short bits from its comedy catalog.
Netflix has joined Snapchat and Instagram with its own attempt to cash in on the short-form video hype drummed up by TikTok: Fast Laughs.
The new mobile feature, announced by Netflix today, will serve up a full-screen feed of short clips from the streaming giant’s catalog. The feed is accessed via a Fast Laughs tab at the bottom of the navigation menu and cue an autoplay. From there, users can scroll through the clips and choose to add featured series, films or stand-up specials to their watch list or cue them to watch now. Clips can also be shared through social platforms and SMS. Fast Laughs has begun to roll out in select territories today and is only available on iOS systems for now though the company says Android tests will begin soon.

Netflix has also revealed its catalog’s additions and departures for March, with notable arrivals including Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell, Pacific Rim: The Black, I Am Legend and The Dark Knight.
