On-Foot Look at the fragment design x Nike Dunk High "Beijing"
A slightly altered take on the 2010 “City Pack” classic.
Hiroshi Fujiwara‘s fragment design and Nike are set to release a slightly altered take on 2010’s Dunk High “Beijing” later this year. A classic from Fujiwara and the Swoosh’s “City Pack” — which also included bright “London” and classic “New York” colorways — this second iteration of the “Beijing” retains the crisp color scheme of its decade-plus old predecessor but discards the original mismatched colorblocking scheme for a much more uniform look.
After an in-hand look surfaced earlier in the month, we now have an on-foot set of shots thanks to sneaker leaker YankeeKicks. On display in these photos is the the design’s elegant hues, namely a rich reddish-purple “Wine” shade on the toebox, quarter and collar with stark black mudguards, eyestays, heels and color flaps plus a black nylon tongue and black laces.
Besides the two-tone look, there’s also a tasteful helping of Fujiwara’s signature fragment design detailing. A white lightning bolt logo is stamped on the lateral heel, and a black tooling code is printed on the white midsole. The midsole is secured to the upper with black contrast stitching, and black outsoles complete the look.
Look for the fragment design x Nike Dunk High “Beijing” to release sometime in June. The MSRP will be set at $170 USD.
