Early Look at the fragment design x Nike Dunk High "Beijing"
The “City Pack” makeup returns for the first time since 2010.
Amongst the incessant list of Nike silhouettes in the sneaker world, there’s no question that its ever-classic Dunk is the cynosure of the present day. 2021 has its eyes set on a wide array of new releases, one being a retro drop of fragment design‘s Dunk High “Beijing” — a member of Hiroshi Fujiwara‘s “City Pack” collaboration with the Swoosh that first saw a delivery to the market back in 2010.
Based off of this early glimpse of the pair, it appears that the exact same shades of purple and black that lend themselves to the color-blocking of the upper layer are being brought back to the table. However, there is one deviating detail on this modernized installment that separates itself from its original and that’s the fact that the shoes are no longer mismatched. Seen here are the purple tones smothering the toe boxes, quarters and collars, while the accompanying stealthy hue topples onto the overlays and Swooshes. Moreover, white fragment design bolt embellishments are stamped to the lateral heels to mimic that of the 2010 offering.
Riding down underneath are angelic midsoles and black treading, the former of which is furnished with a style code-like notation.
Nike has yet to confirm an official release date for these, but it’s likely that they will launch sometime during FW21.
For other footwear news, Kim Jones’ Nike Air Max 95 and apparel collaboration has been uncovered.
