Crosby Studios Announces a New Moscow Flagship Store
The space will house mixed-use retail, a new design headquarters and ‘Crosby Blue’ dining fare.
Following the virtual debut of Crosby Studios Home on HBX, Harry Nuriev’s Crosby Studios has announced the opening of a Moscow flagship store, housing mixed-use retail for the new home and lifestyle brand. The concept store will also include a dining experience and serve as the studio’s architecture and interior design headquarters.
Visitors to the 2,370-square-foot location will be greeted with a sunken blue lounge, reminiscent of the “conversation pit” style popular in the ’60s and ‘70s. The lounge area is is nestled amongst various furniture from Crosby Studios Home’s first collection and accented with its furry ottomans and hand-shaped pillows. The studio’s homegoods imprint is also releasing new pieces to coincide with the store opening, including a velvet sofa and armchairs and a checkerboard-patterned table. The new pieces and interior itself maintain Crosby Studio’s signature palette in greens, grays and deep blues.
The ‘Crosby blue’ palette continues into the café space, where the cuisine embraces the more experimental side of food and dining. The assortment of blue drinks and menu items — including breads, patisserie, sandwiches and more — are naturally dyed with butterfly pea flower and charcoal powder.
“As traditional retail continues to pivot toward the unconventional and experiential, Crosby Studios Home offers a mixed reality model, allowing customers to shop within a virtual environment or in-person at Crosby Studios Store,” Nuriev said of the store in a press release. “We created this space to be accessible for everyone, so that anyone who walks through our doors can find their own world within ours, or perhaps imagine a new one.”
