Clever has dropped off the followup to his original “Life’s A Mess” collab with the late Juice WRLD, this time enlisting the help of Post Malone for “Life’s A Mess II.”

While the original track appeared on Legends Never Die with Halsey, “Life’s A Mess II” hears Clever pay homage to his late friend with a heartbreaking, hard-hitting and hypnotic version. “It speaks on relationships, when love just doesn’t click,” he said in a statement. “I stayed on this concept. I’m newcomer, so I was doing everything I could to stand out between these two giants.”

The Alabama-born artist is set to include “Life’s A Mess II” on his upcoming full-length debut, Crazy. “My music is meant to be personal, but beautiful at the same time,” Clever explained. “I’m aiming for a provocative, sultry, and sexy vibe. It’s melodic hip-hop, but there’s some trap soul in there. I just want to keep this angelic kind of darkness.”

Stream Clever, Juice WRLD and Post Malone’s “Life’s A Mess II” on Spotify and Apple Music.
