McDonald’s Japan Reimagines Filet-O-Fish as a Rice Burger
Accompanied by the returning favorites: Gohan Teriyaki and Gohan Bacon Lettuce.
Known for faithfully celebrating local tastes, McDonald’s Japan has now reimagined its signature Filet-O-Fish as a rice burger.
The Gohan Fish Wafu Kurokosho (Japanese-Style Black Pepper Fish Rice Burger) features a seasoned fried fish patty paired with a special creamy sauce with coarse ground pepper, roasted garlic powder and soy sauce. A slice of cheese and toasted rice buns finish up the reimagination. Additionally, the Japanese division of McDonald’s is also bringing back its fan-favorite Gohan Teriyaki based on the Teriyaki Mac Burger and Gohan Bacon Lettuce.
Priced at ¥390 and ¥410 JPY (approximately $3.60 and $3.75 USD), the Gohan Fish Wafu Kurokosho, Gohan Teriyaki and Gohan Bacon Lettuce are set to be available at McDonald’s Japan locations from March 10 until early April.
