ASICS “Takes Human-Centric Design to the Next Level” With METASPEED
Scientifically designed sneakers, with distinct running styles in mind.

ASICS has followed up the launch of its Tokyo-inspired NOVABLAST by unveiling two takes of its all-new METASPEED silhouette.
Dubbed the METASPEED Sky and METASPEED Edge, each sneaker has been scientifically-designed with distinct running styles in mind — a move described as “taking human-centric design to the next level” by the brand.
Dressed in shades of red and black — a “Sunrise Red” combination inspired by the Tokyo — the METASPEED Sky intends to extend the stride length of its wearer. Boasting an energetic FF Blast Turbo midsole foam that houses a propelling carbon plate, the shoe helps to conserve energy and maintain higher speeds for longer distances.
The METASPEED Edge, on the other hand, looks at controlling a runner’s cadence. Built on a slightly different stack height to the Sky — yet almost identical to the eye — the Edge allows runners to elongate their stride, all the while encouraging a more smooth, controlled and relaxed pace.
The METASPEED Sky is set to launch on the ASICS webstore on March 31, with the METASPEED Edge slated to be available from June 4.
