Taco Bell Shakes up "Chicken Wars" With Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco
Seriously shaking things up.
Getting serious about the “Chicken Wars,” Taco Bell will soon test a Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco in select markets.
Quite literally half sandwich, half taco, the emerging menu option is centered around a tortilla chip coated fried piece of jalapeño buttermilk marinated chicken. Seasoned with “bold Mexican spices,” the crispy, crunchy chicken is nestled between a “puffy bread” shaped like a taco. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco comes with either creamy chipotle sauce or spicy chipotle sauce with slices of pickled jalapeño.
Priced at $2.49 USD, the Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco will be tested at select Nashville, TN, and Charlotte, NC Taco Bell locations starting March 11. With plans to release nationwide later this year, the Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco is just the latest “Chicken Wars” entry from Taco Bell and serves as the introduction to a slew of upcoming crispy chicken innovations from the fast-food chain.
