Shinpei Ueno Recieves Signature Converse Breakstar Ox
The pro skater and TIGHTBOOTH founder brings his signature style to the Converse CONS sneaker.

Pro skater and TIGHTBOOTH founder Shinpei Ueno has teamed up with Converse for a signature iteration of the Breakstar Ox. A durable sneaker inspired by Converse classics like the Chuck 70 that’s loaded with updated skate tech, the Breakstar Ox is crafted with both lifestyle and performance in mind — so Ueno has added elevated flair to its no-frills build.
Two colorways of Ueno’s Breakstar are available: one, an eggshell white with purple collar and insole detailing, the other black with orange collar and insole hits. Each is build of supple nubuck and entirely devoid of branding on the upper, save for a small gold hit on the tongue. More gold detailing is also stamped on each insole, with further pops of flair provided by gold lace tips and a cozy velvet tongue liner.
Insoles feature Converse CONS‘ shock-absorbing React HD foam. Standard rubber midsoles and toe caps draw from models like the aforementioned Chuck 70, and outsoles colored to match each shoe’s primary accents boast an updated traction pattern.
Both makeups of the Shinpei Ueno x Converse Breakstar Ox are available now at retailers like atmos, and are priced at ¥13,000 JPY (approximately $123 USD) exclusive of tax.
