Nike's Retro Air Tuned Max Makes a Return in "Midnight Navy"
A bold refresh for the 20-year-old sneaker.

Nike‘s Air Tuned Max, originally debuted in 1999, has finally gotten the retro-treatment it deserves. The nostalgic silhouette has been given a classic “Midnight Navy” colorway as a nod to its two-decade heritage.
The shoe features a relatively sleek build that slimly tapers off around the toecap. Bright blue rubber panels appear at the tongue, rear quarter, heel, and forefoot, complemented by arched silver-toned webbings that cover the sidewalls. A tiny orange mini-Swoosh appears at the heel and tongue tag, while gray neoprene collars offer ample cushioning. All of these details are paired with a crisp white midsole and set of laces, finished off by a thin translucent Air sole unit.
No official release dates have been confirmed, but Nike’s Air Tuned Max “Midnight Navy” is expected to land soon on Nike’s website for $170 USD.
