Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars Link for New Band Silk Sonic
The duo’s debut single is set to release this March 2021.

Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars have come together to form a new band named Silk Sonic.
The collaborative project was unveiled by the two artists via social media, where they also unveiled an upcoming album and their debut single set to be released on March 5. The imagery shared shows .Paak and Mars, the title An Evening With Silk Sonic and an announcement that James Brown collaborator and Parliament Funkadelic member Bootsy Collins will be a special guest host.
An Evening With Silk Sonic marks Mars’ first overall album since 24K Magic in 2016. He’s been laying low the past five years, only appearing in a handful of songs like “Wake Up In The Sky” alongside Gucci Mane and Kodak Black, “Please Me” with Cardi B and “Blow” with Ed Sheeran and Chris Stapleton. On the other hand, the upcoming project will mark .Paak’s first release since 2019’s Ventura and is one of many high-profile collaborations he’s been a part of, following the likes of “Cut Em In” with Rick Ross, “RNP” with Cordae, “All Bad” with Nas, “Guard Your Heart” with Big Sean, Earlly Mac and Wale and “Track 6” with Ty Dolla $ign, Thundercat and Kanye West.
Stay tuned for the full release of An Evening With Silk Sonic.
