Anderson .Paak Rebuilds His Foundation on New Album, 'Ventura'
Featuring André 3000, Smokey Robinson and the late Nate Dogg.

Despite releasing Oxnard less than six months ago, Anderson .Paak has been hard at work to offer us the tightly-packed Ventura.
Taking a more laid-back approach on Ventura, the musical polymath returns to his soul-funk roots, elevated by sonic techniques he’s absorbed following the release of his 2016 project, Malibu. The Dr. Dre-produced album features a number of high-caliber guests including André 3000, Smokey Robinson and the late Nate Dogg, but those features don’t overshadow the main artist’s overflowing talent. Fusing the lyrical grit of Oxnard and introspection of Malibu, Ventura makes for a successfully redeeming project.
