Beast Coast Debut Another Hard-Hitting Album Single, "Coast/Clear"
A new taste of their anticipated group album.
Last month, New York supergroup Beast Coast introduced us to their long-awaited debut studio album with “Left Hand,” a Powers Pleasant -produced single that featured a stunning showcase of back-to-back bars from Joey Bada$$, Kirk Knight, Nyck Caution, CJ Fly, Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice, Erick the Architect, Ak The Savior and Issa Gold. Now, the East Coast crew are back with another display of masterfully-crafted lyricism and acrobatic flows. Titled “Coast/Clear,” Beast Coast’s new release serves as the second single for the group’s forthcoming LP.
“Gang with me in this bitch ain’t no fearin’, woah / Push me to the edge and bitch I won’t spend none / Get shot down (shot), beat ya block down / Said I’m ridin’ round the city with my top down,” Joey Bada$$ raps. “Gang round me like a force field / We be eating good, swear I must be on my fourth meal / Called it out, yeah, I got some beef up on my fork still / Ballin’ now, lil’ bitch I must be on my fourth mil, yeah / I’m just livin’ life like I’m supposed to, yeah / First class, sippin’ the mimosas, yeah / Cartier, I get it re-upholstered, yeah / When you makin’ bread you need a toaster, yeah.”
“Cheers to the coast, raise a glass for the toast / I’ma bust a couple grams, know the gang like to smoke / We been bustin’ rubber bands, lighters up at the shows
N***a flex up on my mans, get him gone, vámanos,” Issa Gold spits for his verse on “Coast/Clear.”
