VINNY’s “represents the classics of tomorrow,” according to Copenhagen-born-and-bred founder Virgil Nicholas. At the ripe age of 28, Nicholas has 10 years of fashion industry experience under his belt and utilizes that knowledge to give VINNY’s, launched in late 2019, an edge in the crowded footwear industry. For its fifth Spring/Summer 2021 drop, VINNY’s is stepping into a fresh selection of loafers, the current must-have footwear silhouette.
As comfort remains king, new loafers styles have cropped up from upstart industry insiders and luxury titans alike. VINNY’s take on the laceless classic is appropriately understated, served up in makeups for men and women alike.
Realized as the horsebit-abetted Le Club, tassled Chico and penny New Townee and Paname, each VINNY’s shoe is crafted by hand in Portugal. Aside from a tobacco suede and bold Léopard Paname, the shoes are all executed in versatile tones of chocolate brown and black, finished with durable leather outsoles or — in the case of Le Club — rugged Vibram. Soft calfskin lining ensures an easy break-in period: loafers are best worn sockless, after all.
