Bottega Veneta's "The Slipper" Redefines Luxury Loafers
The easy slip-on adopts the brand’s trademark Intrecciato weave.
After putting up two new silhouettes last week to compete in the latest indoor footwear trend battle, Bottega Veneta has launched its outdoor counterpart simply titled “The Slipper.”
“The Slipper” loafer channels the luxury house’s extensive leather heritage and follows the same aesthetic as the aforementioned slip-on sneaker. Produced in Italy, the fine-grained nappa leather is delicately put intertwined in the brand’s iconic Intrecciato weave which adorns the upper. Adding both an almond toe and padded leather insole for comfort, the high-end loafer trades the rubber to sit on a full leather sole.
Arriving in an all-black colorway, its versatility can work in both formal or casual settings (as with any loafer nowadays). Bottega Veneta’s “The Slipper” is now available on MatchesFashion.com and retails for £1,225 GBP (approximately $1,673 USD).
