New Balance Adds to the 57/40 Lineup with Valentine's-Themed "Pink Glo" Colorway
Covered in fluorescent fuschia and red tones, and featuring a “The Romantic Choice” hit on the tongue.
Ahead of Valentine’s Day, New Balance has readied the 57/40 in a timely “Pink Glo” colorway. Following up the 57/40’s January debut, the “Pink Glo” uses a mix of fluorescent fuchsia and red tones plus clever altered branding to nod to V-Day in an efficient fashion, relying on its color scheme and build to communicate its heartfelt inspiration.
Uppers stack supple suede on top of standard mesh, using a last reminiscent of the classic 574 for a dash of familiarity. Shaggy suede graces the heel and touches of pink leather rim the midfoot’s sizable N logo for further material contrast. There’s also hits of black on the heel clip, collar and tongue.
Interestingly enough, the shoe’s signature detail is somewhat hidden: if you look at the inner half of the tongue tag, you’ll notice it states “The Romantic Choice” in place of its standard “The Intelligent Choice” hit. Double-stacked midsoles blend pink and red tones for further hybrid style, and black outsoles finalize the look.
The New Balance 57/40 “Pink Glo” will release via retailers like 43einhalb on February 6, and is priced at $120 USD.
