Balenciaga Upgrades Its Signature Sock-Inspired Speed Trainer
The Speed 3.0 gets an all-white makeover.

Following last month’s release of its football jersey-inspired graphic iteration, Balenciaga continues to grow its footwear reach with the newest addition to the Speed Trainer line — aptly titled the Speed 3.0.
The latest upgrade to Demna Gvasalia’s signature sock-like silhouette sees it hit with a clean, all-white glacier colorway just in time for the summer. This version’s main change sees the sneaker adopt a taller ankle for a tube-sock aesthetic. Continuing to keep to the textile knitted upper that we’re used to, the Speed 3.0 now possesses a deconstructed paneled design providing a frayed look towards the toe.
Added texture on the ankle and midfoot treats the sneaker more like a sock than ever before. Minimal additions are implemented onto the shoe, black double “B” branding is woven on the lateral side of the ankle with “Speed 3.0” printed on its thick, cushioned midsole whilst the remainder keeps its all-white cleanliness.
Balenciaga’s Speed 3.0 Trainer will be available to purchase via the brand’s official website on February 25 so keep a lookout for further release and pricing information.
